Haseeb Kazi
Haseeb Kazi currently serves as a Professor of Mathematics, Director of Study Abroad, Chairman of Mathematics & Physics Department, and an elected President of Faculty at Trine University in Angola, Indiana. Having earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Mathematics, he has been teaching various college- and university-level math courses for the past 20 years. He has enjoyed face-to-face, online, and blended modes of instruction. Together with his ongoing teaching and research commitments, Dr. Kazi also serves on the national Editorial Board for Classroom Resource Materials of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), in the governing body of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) as a Mathematics and Computer Science Division Councilor (second 3-year term), as a founding member of CUR’s Strategic Pillars Taskforce on Internationalization, and as a Secretary (second 3-year term) in the Indiana Executive Board of the MAA. Dr. Kazi is also honored to serve as a Mentor in the Early Career Mathematicians program of the MAA, as a Liaison to the Fulbright Scholar Program, and as an Advisor and a National Selection Panel Member (2015-present) of the Gilman Scholarship Program. He has been honored with several teaching, service, and scholarship awards, including the Mathematical Association of America Distinguished Professor of Mathematics (Indiana-2016) award.
