Patricia Morreale
Patricia Morreale is a Professor of Computer Science and the Director of the School of Computer Science and Technology at Kean University, Union, NJ. Her research interests include software design and interaction, and broadening participation in computing. She has published widely on multimedia systems and network performance, as well as undergraduate retention and success in computer science. As part of the Computing Alliance for Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI), a NSF INCLUDES Alliance, she is using undergraduate research experiences to develop future faculty and researchers. She co-authored NCWIT’s guide REU in a Box: Expanding the Pool of Computing Researchers. Her research is currently funded by NSF and Google. She received a B.S. from Northwestern University, a M.S. from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. from Illinois Institute of Technology, all in Computer Science. She is an AAAS Fellow.
