Kristin Lassonde
Kristin Lassonde teaches mathematics at Contra Costa College (CCC) in San Pablo, California. As a community college instructor, she stays active serving in numerous roles. During recent school years, she mentored students on research projects, several of whom presented their projects at the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Section meeting and/or at MathFest, the MAA’s national summer meeting.
Kristin attended undergrad at both the University of Texas in Arlington and Texas A&M University, and graduate school in Southern California at Claremont Graduate University and Cal State Los Angeles, where she earned degrees in both mathematics and physics. She has been teaching mathematics for over ten years and has experience teaching the full community college mathematics curriculum in all modalities including traditional face-to-face, hybrid, and fully-online. She is currently serving on the Communications Committee for the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges, the Committee on Technologies in Mathematics Education for the MAA, and on the Distance Education Committee at CCC.
